Back in town

Sorry, kids. I didn’t abandon this blog. I’ve just been on vacation.

I actually need a vacation to recover from my vacation. Travelling with small children for long distances in the hot summer? Not as much fun as you might think (if, ahem, you even thought that sounded fun at all). Nothing like being stranded in traffic in the mountains with nowhere to pull the car over while your infant child howls angrily in the back seat because, dammit, he’s hungry and he needs you to breastfeed him right now. And your other child moans and kvetches because the portable DVD player is out of juice and he can’t watch “Aladdin” for the fourth time in a week and are there any more snacks even though he just ate peanut-butter crackers and fruit treats and a cereal bar less than an hour ago?

I’m now back and ready to roll. Ready to do some blogging. Ready to do some work. Ready to look for new work, too.

The beach was great, but that was one of the worst trips home! I’ve never seen so much traffic trying to get to the interstates from the beach areas!
